The Beginning

There are so many wonderful blogs I have read and kept up with that gave me the strength to become comfortable with who I am. I would have liked to follow many from the beginning of the journey and that being the case I thought I should start mine from just that....the beginning. It took me a long time to get here but I am excited for what the future holds.

Wood Withdrawal? New implement

Yes folks, I am still in wood withdrawal and I have 20 more days to go. I did some research on our cane and it is actually made out of Rattan  so no reprieve there. I did get a nice bamboo caning yesterday but while it broke the tiniest part of the skin there was really no after effects so it did not quite cut it.

So to cure what ails me I purchased a new implement pictured above. It says the twisted delrin rods covered in paracord gives some awesome whipping action and delivers the pain and sting you need to give the bottom a real pain rush.

It should be here tomorrow. Has anybody used one these before? I'll let you know how I am doing after the weekend.

  1. That looks seriously ouchy. After reading a post by Conina, at Exploring Surrender, I made my own kind of like that, with window screen rope thingy. And it hurts. Have you thought about a flogger? I have heard so much good about that!

    1. It does look intimidating doesn't it. I am very curious.

The only flogger we have used is a homemade one made from a jacket. The strings were braided and then tied in knots at the end. I really do not like that one. I have been looking at Conina's and I get so confused about what to pick from. I should just e-mail her and tell her to pick for me.

  2. I don't mean to be contradictory and you can erase and ignore if you like but rattan is also not a tree and therefore not technically wood either. It is of the Palm Tree family and although called a tree it is misnamed and Palm trees are actually a form of flowering plant.

I fully accept I missing your actual point here and hope your new implement brings the desired relief.

    1. Actually that is great news! I looked it up yesterday and everything kept saying Rattan Wood so I was dissappointed. If it's a plant that's all I need to know to get it back into play. THANK YOU!

    2. from the encyclopedia: Rattan plants are classified in the division Magnoliophyta, class Liliopsida, order Arecales, family Palmae.

Magnoliophyta - division of the plant kingdom consisting of those organisms commonly called the flowering plants

Always glad to be of help

  3. Girl, I think you are going to get just what you expect, a real pain rush in the tush. That looks a great deal like a loopy johnny and I have only heard how horrible that is. I learned my lesson with the lexan and don't purchase anything that someone else has said is horrible. Good Luck.

  4. Oh gosh, dancing if you love the cane then which you do then you will love this, they leave the most distinctive marks and are great for on the tits as well.

I would say they are more stingy than the cane, for me personally i do still prefer the cane.

  9. I have the regular delrin loop, and while I wouldn't exactly call it flexibly 'whippy' it sure has a whip-like connection, and was the first thing to ever leave a heck of a mark. Yes, it stings like the dickens, and the twisted one should add some heft to it.

  12. Sooo..... Have you had a chance to try your new impliment yet? We have one but we are quite new to TTWD and Sir is still exploring how intense he is willing to go so I have not been hit too hard with it as yet. But I will say, even gentle swats sting pretty good. I hope you enjoy it.
